Short trailer for our first, live-action/AI hybrid Christmas film. We completed the film, this time last year, before I found out about the wonderful AI Art Community. AI was used to ideate, create pictures and Christmas cards as props. We copied clues from the AI generations for wardrobe details. (eg: The lace collar on the women is based on the photo of The Twins). AI-generated clips were then infused with our live-action edit.

It had too much movement for me, so I changed the beginning of the prompt to include "locked camera position" and removed the 1st person POV:

"Locked camera position, low-angle tracking shot, smooth, steady camera motion on a rocky path on a hill towards a lighthouse and house at the end, overlooking a rocky coastline. I use these comparisons to help me decide which video model to choose for different types of image inputs, composition, or type of movement in the scene.

I adjust the prompts to get certain types of movement. I initially wanted a first person point of view, walking down the path, with this in the prompt:

Damn... Hunyuan is basically open source veo2. I believe Veo2, pika and hunyuan are currently the best AI video generators. This could greatly speed up anime development. I like that it looks like it's hand-drawn. Some studios use 3D and it's not as enjoyable to watch.

Sure the workflow might improve but quality of animation doesn't necessarily mean we can make new Anime fully with AI. Animators might still need to do more heavy lifting
