that proves absolutely nothing other than it being a shytty situational call
what does the pats beating the hags last year prove about defense ? this was the worst game that defense ha had in 3 years, and their very important #2 corner went down. and still the pats won via defense, because the seattle offense couldnt do what nearly any other offense would.

so what does that game prove ?

No one talks about how NFL offensive records have basically been made irrelevant by the ongoing rule changes. I feel this should be a bigger talking point :patrice:
Theoretically, this is true, but most of the people getting these passing records are HOFs anyway (Brees, Brady, Manning, Newton, etc)

I told you for a few years now that it's a passing league and defense is no longer played well and that rbs and lbs are going extinct and you were in denial.. I'm glad a hardcore purist like yourself sees how bad it's gotten.

It's now arena league football everyone passes 40 times a game. They'res no balance anymore. It's pathetic that teams can't even run 4th and short anymore because they don't practice running

Teams used to have identities and now everyone plays the same way.

Look back to the 90 Giants and the contrast between how they and the Niners played or them and the bills and how it made for amazing drama and great football seeing two teams with drastically different styles try to impose their will over each other in the NFC title game and then the Super Bowl

Well never see football like that again :mjcry:
I never disputed that its going into that direction breh
all I said that defense still can and does win, its just getting harder and harder with each year. qbs are holy cows now that you cant touch anywhere or you'll get roughing the passer :beli:

Current Dan Marino could come out of retirement and throw for 7000 yards next season with these rules.

even the greatest show on turf SB was in an extremely close game which ended with literally an inch away from the goal line, against a defensive team manned by a guy who the coli thinks is extremely overrated as a head coach :heh:

most people dont remember, but the game they played against the bucs in NFCC ended with a 11-6 score...warner threw 3 picks and shaun king threw 2. bucs defense held them in a game against one of the best offenses of all time, all game long.

Those Rams teams had good defenses too. And also, Spygate.

When comparing eras, numbers, records, etc...in any sport...context is everything.

Most people with more than a casual understanding of the games get this. Those who don't either don't pay enough attention to care or are not that smart to begin with. :yeshrug:

Rams in 2001 didn't really have a good defense. What does Spygate have to do with titans and bucs defense being able to limit that historic rams offense?

Rams 01 D was a top 5 unit. Thought you were referring to 01 with the Pats stopping the Rams.

The Bucs offense was awful.
