But the questioning was disingenuous and it was a bipartisan effort to get her fired
Some of the same people wanting her to step down were the same people crying about free speech when a UPenn professor was inviting white supremacist to speak. The way “both sides” been dikk eating and doing whatever aipac demands is sickening

To hell with nuance when it comes to that. What would they say to someone who said they supported and glad the 911 attacks happened. See how crazy that sounds?

Stefanik is a right wing Trump dikk rider. She was trying to get a “gotcha” moment on them. She was gunning for them to say yes to the initial question (should’ve been an easy answer) and then angle for “From River to Sea Palestine will be free” as a “genocidal” call (which I don’t think it is).

Instead Magill preempted herself instead of just answering “yes” to whether or not calls to genocide were against their student code, but adding that she doesn’t feel that “From River to Sea Palestine will be free” is a call to genocide. Which is actually defensible, and Tlaib already went through that…and leaves more room for debate than saying calls for genocide are allowed (which they shouldn’t), it also doesn’t give people a soundbite.
