I can see that. :manny: Just because a person makes a lot at a job doesn't mean they become financially literate.

Doesn't matter where you live, doesn't matter how much in student loans you have to pay off, if you're making $250,000 and living paycheck to paycheck then either you have serious family issues to account for, a big spending problem, or no clue what you're doing with your money.

No one gonna show me a normal person's $250,000/year budget anywhere in America that don't have a bunch of unnecessary shyt in it. At the least they're paying way too much for their car, for spendy vacations, for eating/drinking out and entertainment, or sending their kids to some ritzy-ass private school.

(I'm not including people who have medical issues or massive family issues to account for.)

Are we talking single no kids or people with familiies? Because having kids will wipe out your paycheck quick.

Even if they paying $3000 a month then that's just $36,000 a year. I mean fukk, even $4,000/month is just $48,000. That doesn't come even close to accounting for the $150,000+ take-home that they're blowing on....what?

150k after tax would be 100k. After rent it's 64k, optimistically. Then utilities, gas, food. Then any loans you have (school, car). Maybe insurance (car, apt, home). At this point, how much do you expect someone to have left to spend for the year or the month?

EDIT: I didn't even take into account benefits like: health insurance, 401k, dental, eye. Which would make that 100k less. To 80k, maybe?

EDIT2: I misread. You're saying 250k after taxes is 150k. So yeah, I agree with you.

If you're making 250k and living paycheck to paycheck there are only a few things that could be going on -

1. You're living in some mansion or something you can't afford. Self-imposed L.
2. You have expensive cars you can't afford. Self-imposed L.
3. You're in some kind of ginormous debt.

That's really all I can think of. Outside of crazy debt, the only way someone making 250k is struggling is if they're trying to live like a mllionnaire.

Find someplace to live for less than 3K a month :manny: or buy a used car.

I mean, if you're going broke because you just had to buy an M4 then that's your own fault. :heh:
