Nah, I don’t fukk around with 1080p TVs. I just skim right over that. Like I don’t care that Nvidia lets users super sample in 1080p either. All in all I just pay attention to 4K stuff.

But...I consider myself well read in the tech arena. I should have known that

It does. It plays 4k blu ray and upscales dvd and standard BD. Can stream 4k content from Netflix and other content providers.

It also upscales game resolution although its not native and details get lost or stretched out.

If you're serious about A/V, the X is the way to go. Very good 4K machine. BLU-ray, streaming, games, everything. Dolby Atmos support, too.

X is superior to the S in every single aspect.If you got the $ no excuse not to upgrade.You don't necessarily need a 4K tv to see the benefits

The thing is, without a 4K tv, you won’t see any benefits from the X. If you’re just using the S for media and light gaming, it’s probably the best bet at 1080p. If you get a 4K TV, then you need the X.

That isn't true. The X does supersampling on 1080p screens. How valuable that is, is a matter of perspective. OP, do yourself a favor, and get an X and an LG OLED, shyt is
