i would argue gen z takes friendship more seriously than millennials did. i'd see millennials dump their "friends" for the most arbitrary reasons
Gen Z lack of social skills is why they struggle cultivating friendships and relationships
Gen X and Boomers took friendships more seriously. In the Pre-internet era, less distractions, so most people were outside socializing.
Pre 9/11 meant less paranoia. Meeting new people at a club/concert/social event was a normal occurrence.
The boomers that took part of the civil rights era promoted moralistic values such as having integrity, character, perseverance and strength.
Black people were more connected in the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and especially the 90’s with the black consciousness movement
Social media destroyed the necessity of friendships, killed the mystery of relationships and normalized the traits of narcissism and toxicity.
