I believe in both
Why not?
I think that a lot of the tenets of evolution weren't really understood when the people teaching it came up.
So they don't know any better, plus the curriculum is outdated.
Like this diagram here is a prime example.
This is often a cornerstone of what's taught in schools as an example of evolution. It's also a completely inaccurate history of man's biological evolution, but every child in America was taught this as part of the curriculum. If they haven't done further study, they would come away from this thinking we evolved from chimpanzees. Which is where the question, "If evolution is real, why do chimps still exist?" comes from.
How could a "supernova" cause matter to formulate, giving us a primate, that evolved into what humans are today?
To every person who has seen and read the scientific evidence available as of 12/17/2019, it couldn't.
So scientific evidence evolves as well?
Because im sure the reasoning behind the creation of man (not the evolution) has changed over the past 100 years..
Of course. That's what science is.
To be clear, there is no "reasoning" behind the creation of man.
We are no closer to understanding the origins of life on Earth today than we were 10,000 years ago.
Any type of explanation to the origin of life is merely supposition. We have exactly zero evidence to point us in the right direction at this point That's why creationism is even a thing.
Evolution, though, is a different story.
Do you trust man to tell you if "it" had found the truth? To how life really started?
Of course.
There is a selfish component of humanity, and by extension the scientific method.
If a white man discovered the origin of life (I'm assuming you're talking about white men because it's the coli), would you expect him to keep it to himself and not claim the fame and fortune associated with such a discovery?
I think man, no matter his color, would keep that information hidden if he was in control..
Information is priceless.
If you can suppress it, you can control nations..
To me its more to whats going on than just man, "evolving from one generation to next".
Maybe its just that mans way of explaining it has been diluted and tampered with..
Agree to disagree.
I have a hard time believing a biologist who dedicated their lives to the study of life would suddenly decide to "keep it quiet" if they unlocked the most precious secret that answered the most sought after information in all of human history.
Why then did you even mention the selfish component of humanity above?
You talking about broke scientists dedicating their lives, then you got multitrillion dollar industries who thrive off ignorance, living on the same planet..
But lets agree to disagree..
You actually dont
You just dont know the difference between adaptation and evolution
ExplainI believe in both
OhYou clearly don't understand evolutionary theory.
Like most Americans.
Again, not your fault. This stuff wasn't taught well in schools.
