At least we will be getting a good O for Kaep to run that is condusive to his skill set.

Like I said in the other thread, if Kaep can't put up good numbers in a Chip offense, he'll prolly be done as a starter in the league for a while.

Another lame business decision and cost saving move by Jed.

Eagles are still paying Chip for 2 more years and Chip's market salary naturally drops, so this is basically the cheapest coach you can get. His first 2 years Jed only has to pay the minimum and the next three are at average to below average cost.

I'm sure he'll tote out "but we're still paying Jimmy T. also!" and sound like Chris Cohan era Warriors.

Feel bad for Bowman, that defense is gonna be dog tired every game, hope he doesn't pull a P.Willis retire or Anthony Davis sit-out-one-year, but I wouldn't blame him for it either.

I think Kaep rebounds. Outside of that Cards game, he only threw 1 pick in his other games. And still was 60% on his completions for the year.

I know there are rational reservations, but I'm looking forward to actually being an exciting team again. Actually going for points instead of settling for FGs. If he can resurrect Kap, bring in a good WR (Alshon or Treadwell or Doctson), shore up the OL (Kilgore back to 100%, AD back) we may be on to something. Don't know how Hyde fits in to Chips's scheme though.

DC hire is critical now. We don't even have that many pieces on D tbh, Bow, Lynch and Ian are the only blue chip players. We can afford to mould the D to Chip's style of play. Just go out and get some long distance runners.
