I can see bethea getting traded for picks if we're offered right compensation tho. hes getting up there in age, coming off an injury and we have a stable of safeties. since hes FA after the season, I dont see him netting us shyt tho

Let him play a year and rebuild his value then trade him

makes no sense to trade AD after we didnt get a starting tackle in FA. unless we going tackle in draft.
plus, whos trading for his fat contract after hes been out of the league for a year ? I dont really buy it.

Can anyone seriously determine the goal of the front office/team right now? Did they ever explain the plan? I'm being serious. I'm not shyt talking. I'm legit confused about what they're doing. I know Chip cleans house when he comes in, but the moves seems random at best

extremely doubtful unless he basically refuses to play. and even at that point I think baalke will play hardball.

Trading Bethea makes sense, he's getting old quick and we have nice young pieces that can play safety. Trading Anthony Davis makes zero sense, he's better than anyone we would draft with that pick and we're already thin at O-Line as it is. Baalke better stop fukking around, his job is likely on the line this year.

They're supposed to have an open competition between him and Gabbert, but if Kaep can't legitimately beat out Gabbert in a Chip Kelly offense then he doesn't need to be playing football for anybody. Only advantage Gabbert will have is that he will have more on the field time due to Kaep not being cleared for football activities.

I think they're thinking that Brown and RT will be a better (and cheaper) option than Davis at this point in time. Trading him for picks is fine, because we need all the picks we can get at this point. He's a tradeable asset with assumed value.

We have a shytload of money under the cap, we can always deal him next year and arguably get a better pick if he starts. Proir to 'retirement' he was graded out has a top 3-5 Right Tackle in the NFL.

i dont know whats going on, i think maybe baalke asked around to access davis's value but really didnt want to trade him



if davis wants to come back he needs to be on the roster, hes easily the 49ers second best lineman after staley
