Y'all underestimating Lennox. He's a big HW with devastating power even with a suspect chin, and to be fair he was out of shape against Rahman in that first fight. A focused Lennox would give any HW of any era problems just from his size alone.
Yep. A prime fully focused Lewis would handle every HW under 6'2

Floyd.

Lennox Lewis is the biggest heavyweight fraud in 40 years.
And Tyson (around 1987) would have wiped the floor with him.

I'm taking Floyd...Only matchups I really don't like for him are Hearns, Robinson and Leonard...

Always liked Lennox but I can ever bet on a nikka that got KO'd in his prime by Oliver McCall and needed the fix to beat him in the rematch...The Heavyweight division in the 70's and 80's had too many heavy hitters...You got dudes like Kenny Norton and Earnie Shavers (Lennox would whoop Shavers) who are hardly ever talked about but they were tough matchups for everybody...

Tommy Hearns was like 6'1.
Mayweather would struggle like a motherfukker to beat Hearns since with Hearns' height advantage, Hearns could hit above Mayweather's shoulder roll bullshyt.

Taking Floyd because of his defense, Lennox's chin can be suspect. Nothing about Mayweather's fight game is flawed or suspect since he's been fighting.

Outside of the Castillo fight and the last round of ODH, he's virtually in control. Lewis is too chinny. But his jab was the best thing since sliced bread.

Mike Tyson is under 6'2.

And he never fought him in his prime before you go there.
I don't believe Mike Tyson drops Lewis. He never fought a big dude with as much of a almighty and long jab as Lewis in his prime.

Dissappointing they peaked at different ages/times in their career.

While Lewis' chin is questionable, I think it's highly underrated. Dude was looking out of shape vs Klitschko, took some bombs (watch round 2) and never dropped.

I don't think Lewis was ever in his physical prime with Manny Steward though, if anything maybe the tail end of it. However, dude was much more cerebral under Manny,

I just think when focused, dude's defense, reach, height, and power is a real tough match-up for any heavyweight through the generations. That jab alone makes a case for goat for the category. Throwing that punch from his hip and making big Heavyweights fall back :wow:.

Lewis literally had HW's in the late 90's to mid 2000's hoping he'd lose or retire so they could get the title w/o having to go through him.

Floyd is a few levels above Lewis in a p4p sense as well as in just about every facet of boxing... skillset, resume, career achievements etc.

But 147-54 is historically much more talent rich than Heavyweight. And Floyd would be at a physical disadvantage in most of the fights against the greats in those divisions. Unlike Lewis who would hold physical advantages over most of the greats in his weightclass.

Based on these 2 facts alone, you would have to go with Lewis.

Now if you said who's more unbeatable... Floyd @ 130-140 or Lennox @ Heavyweight.

Floyd. Unequivocally.

Prime, Emmanuel Steward trained Lennox got outjabbed, outboxed & outfought in large stretches by 6'1" Ray Mercer. :comeon:

Lewis always seemed clueless and had no plan B for when on those rare occasions he was faced with a guy that could absorb his power. Almost
like a big-ass 250 lb Adrien Broner.

Lewis's jab was WAY WAY overrated. I would say that even Holmes in his 40's had a more snapping & accurate jab. Lennox's jab tended to be a lazy, half-hearted arm punching type of jab. Although he was occasionally effective with it in alot of fights. There were several times throughout his career that he got outjabbed by sub-par jabbers (Mercer, Bruno, old Holyfield in the 2nd fight).

Pinklon Thomas, Carl Williams, Holmes & Buster Douglas all had better jabs than Lewis.
