them nikkas don't play for the bulls, so I'm not gonna give a fukk. however the kobe retirement will be the end of an era for me since he came into the league the same year I graduated high school.

There were 30+ years between Wilt's rookie year and Shaq's rookie year, we won't see another :shaq2: type of player for another 20-30 years. Humans don't grow that big or coordinated that often, in the meantime I feel the next great center will come from Europe.

Andre Drummond has the tools to be a beast, he's a long way off though and he may not meet the level to match his talent.

you right except drummond will never be at the super elite level some of the past great were at. all of them, ever single one were great or at least really good from the jump. they didn't have to develop as much as drummond needs to. Shaq was averaging 23 and 13 his rookie season. hakeem was averaging 20 and 11. the next great will beast from the beginning.

None of the greats as rookies were as young as Drummond is now, he's currently the second youngest player in the league. Hakeem was 22 as a rookie, and Shaq was 20.

It's too early to say what he will and won't be, if he played starter minutes he'd average a double double with pretty much no offensive game to speak of. The key with him is and always will be that the tools to be a beast are there, soft touch, great coordination, great hands and a good base.

I've kinda already made the transition... I was always a Lakers fan growing up in the Showtime era and I have rode for them since then..... Now since my state has a team now(OKC Thunder) and Kobe is about to retire I have been reppin for the hometown a lil bit more. I support both teams now but when Kobe leaves, the Lakers will become my #2 favorite team and the Clippers #3 (OU fans show support for former players like Blake Griffin).

KG was older than Drummond though, and Drummond's numbers are impressive as hell if you just look at them closely, 7/7/2 in just 19mpg?

His last 10 games he's gotten 22mpg, he's averaging 10.1ppg, 8.8rpg, 1.9bpg and shot 72% from the field. The dude is playing on nothing but absolute physical skill right now, and he's better than DeAndre Jordan and JaVale McGee, two guys people said were his ceiling. He's playing a mans game as a teenager and is physically overwhelming people, if this dude finds the weight room and has even a rudimentary post game he's going to be a problem.
