Looking forward to all of the MMA action tonight. Will definitely be checking out Bellator/WSOF on my TV, might just try to catch the main event for UFC.

UFC 180

All the prelims are trash. The few fights I saw of TUF latin america was pretty bad, which is what I expected from guys without a long history of MMA. Only thing worth watching is Jessica Eye vs Leslie Smith even tho they are bottom ranked contenders. Eye is faster and more technical, but Smith brings aggression and has good power that most women lack. She will finish if an opportunity presents itself, something Eye fails to do. Plus Eye throws with her chin straight up. Smith TKO RD2

Edgar Garcia vs Hector Urbina- Garcia TKO RD 1. Urbina is a massive 170 but he is garbage. No technique or skill at all. Can't believe this is opening a PPV card

Augusto Montano vs Chris Heatherly. Don't know much about either. I just know Heatlerly is one dimensional grappler who got subbed by Ben Saunders. Montano(like all the mexican fighters) trains with Greg Jackson so he should have a good gameplan. Montano TKO RD1

Ricardo Lama vs Dennis Bermudez- This is the true prove fight for Bermudez to see if he can get past gatekeeper Lamas. I've never like Lamas. Hes pretty much average in everything except smothering top control. And he looked like shyt against Harcan Dias, who is not as good as Bermudez. Bermudez has good grappling, solid boxing, and a good clinch. Really improved. But Bermudez is prone to get reckless. I think he lost against Holloway, who was still very green then. There was also a point when he was beating the shyt out of Jimmy Hettes but pulled him on his back, literally asking to get choked out. A smart fighter like Lamas will take advantage of that in a heartbeat. I will take Bermudez but UD, but this could got either way.

Jake Ellenberger vs Kevin Gasteleum- Another close fight. A lot of ppl are down on Jake and rightfully so. Hes a guy who mentally folds if he cant established dominace right away on his opponent. Hes looked like trash since leaving Kings. But the difference is, he looked like trash against top competition in Lawler and Rory. Gast is still very green. Hes an aggressive fighter who has the skills to discourage Jake, but his offensive confidence doesn't make up for his poor defense. He gets out of position a lot and is easily hittable. And you don't want to get hit by Ellenberger, who still has the heaviest hands at 170 and made Lawler fall back when he started getting his combos together later in that fight. Rick Story tagged him up in their fight. Gastelum looked horrible against Niko Musoke and really only won due to Musoke gassing. Gasteluem has cardio issues himself due to the weight cut. Apparently Gasteluem is at Alliance now so his strategy may be better. But I still will pick Ellenberger by KO RD2. Better striker, wrestler, and more experience. I don't think Kevin is ready yet based on previous fights.

Fabricio Werdum vs Mark Hunt- This on first glance looks like an awesome, great main event. But once you delve into the circumstances, the excitment level wanes. Hunt is taken this fight on 3 weeks notice. A guy who cuts to 265 fighting at 7,000 feet above sea level against Werdum, who practically lives in Mexico now. This wont be pretty. Hunt still has the power to KO anyone. Werdum usually starts slow and Hunt is able to read his opponent after a few minutes. So if Werdum doesn't push the pace early and tire Hunt out, Hunt has a chance to counter for that walk off KO. But I just see Werdum using his footwork and length to tire Hunt out(which will happen quickly. Hunt look gassed during the open workouts). That will eventually lead to Hunt getting pushed against the cage, taken down, and subbed. I don't think Hunt mind is even in the right state for this fight. Interviews I hear from him this week sounds like a guy who just filling in on short notice and getting paid. Werdum by Sub RD 3

should be some dope fights. The way the cards are set up some fights HAVE to deliver. There's no way some of these fights don't give us some highlights.

I'm very curious to see what that Manhoef vs. Schilling fight looks like. I'm not too into the UFC card outside of the main event.

I'm actually looking forward to the Bellator card the most. Never thought i'd say that. lol.

I was also kind of rooting for Melvin but he really fukked up. Should still be a good fight. Not sure if Okami wins tonight.

This first fight is good. Brown fighting off these submission attempts well but damn breh, quit giving up the guillotine so easily.

I got Werdum, Gastellum and Bermudez on the main card. Hunt has a punchers chance but Werdum has been on a tear since coming back, Fabricio by submission.

Bermudez vs Lamas will be FOTN
