I agree with everything you said. Once again had a certain level of musical maturity to it that is missing in his other albums. Not saying his other albums are bad (because they're not) but musically there's something different about this one. Just the piano and good lyrics on a bunch of these. It feels organic

Album was pure fukking fire. I used to keep Save Room, Heaven, Another Again, and Maxine in HEAVY rotation.
Even the outtakes/bonus tracks were good, even if they didn't really match the theme of the album.

King and Queen was another one I liked from the album. I thought that was a dope duet with Mary. I love the Stevie Wonder sample as well (“Visions”).

This was a really good album but out of all the albums Love in the Future has to be my favorite. That album just flows so well and has so many stand out songs to me. It’s nice to see the appreciation John Legend gets in this thread bc reading threads in TLR they make it seems like his music was never good.
