The Texans said they're open to trading the #1 pick in the draft.

A) Would you try to trade up into that spot?
B) If so, how much would you be willing to give up?

Considering there are 6 teams ahead of the Vikes who might take a QB with their first picks, it might not be a bad idea to try to trade up. I'd probably give up two 1st round picks, a 2nd and a 3rd.

Check out the Leber & Kluwe interview from the KFAN Power Trip Morning Show this morning. Damn long but it's worth a listen.

And speaking of this Kluwe shyt what a fantastic start to the off-season A second DUI in two months for Erin Henderson, Jerome Simpson pleading guilty to DUI in court yesterday, and the former punter firebombing the franchise's management yesterday. Good luck finding a fukking coach.

Honestly rather chance it at #8 and see what we get. Don't want the team ending up on the bad end of a Herschel Walker/RGIII type trade only to end up drafting a bust at #1

well we have two fears in drafting a QB, right...

1. trading up to draft a ready QB in bridgewater (im a believer), giving up a shytload and getting a bust

2. reaching at #8 on some christian ponder shyt and being set back

i think any QB available at #8 will be a developmental project, i don't know if we have that much time to give :yeshrug:

I'm okay with moving up but 2 1sts and 2nd and a 3rd seems steep (but value wise, is fair). I wish we could have gotten something for Jared Allen some time ago, but I guess that makes no sense thinking about it now.

we should either draft the best available talent (probably LB) or move up to draft bridgewater

Completely agreed - last thing I want is another reach at #8. I'm drinking the @YouMadd? kool-aid thinking we take best pick available at 8. If it's a QB great, if not we take a OLB or DE and take our chances on a QB in the 2nd or 3rd round. Reaching for another-goddamn-noodle-arm-Ponder in the first round is the last fukking thing we need.

Darrell Bevell :heh:

The same scrub who never developed any QB while he worked under Childress, i swear to God players stay making these bum coaches money..he just happened to be at the right place at the right time

No wonder Shanahan scammed his way to all these coaching gigs..nikka Elway and TD made you..8 playoff appearances in 27 years of coaching..

:laff:

To be honest there needs to be a thread on this:bryan:
The vast majority of these coaches are overrated

It has been confirmed that Mike Zimmer will only leave the #Begals if given full control over personnel and roster decisions.

#Bengals DC Mike Zimmer will reportedly only leave current position if the right opportunity is given with full control of personal & staff

Say goodbye to Mike Zimmer if this is true. Too bad, because he and Jay Gruden are my top choices for coaches, and it looks like Jay Gruden may be going to Washington.

Mike Zimmer asking for what?

I hope they hire either Todd Bowles or Ray Horton.
