I always get nervous when secondary players come from teams with great front 7's but it's not a big money deal so hopefully he can be good for the Vikes.
Im hoping they get a LB with that 8 pick. The offense will be better than average if the skill position guys can stay healthy. If Patterson can be a legitimate #2 option the offense has a lot of potential even with Cassel as QB. It's not a title team butsshould compete for the division.

. Cap wise we are in a great positions for the next few year so his contract wot be a problem for Atleast a few years. This conversation becomes relevant in 3 years.
Do you not understand what greatest means? AD is not a normal RB... Usually RBs fall off because they don't start working harder to combat the aging. This is why jerry and emmitt played for so long. AD is a throwback cut from the same cloth... Only
Thing stopping him is a serious injury, but we know how he deals with those... Bottom line is we start talking restructuring at the most in about 2 years... AD will retire a Viking.

As I said all along the Vikings offense is fine between AD,Jennings,Patterson,Wright, Thor, and a decent Cassell. Defense has been the main reason why we could not compete consistently last season. Im loving the secondary moves I still think we need to figure out our linebackers cause they were just as bad as the secondary yet we havent signed anyone serious so that makes me think they are going to draft a linebacker this year which dont have a problem with (Khalil Mack would be) Our moves are not that sexy but seem to be the glue pieces that contending teams make.
