Kyrie said he has shoulder bursitis, got a cortisone shot on December 24 and they’re gonna see how he reacts to it over the next two months to determine if surgery is needed. He hurt in the pelicans game and it got worse during that road trip.

So basically his season is over :snoop:

Was just coming to post this...if he does surgery he'll be out 3-4 months. I think he's going to end up doing surgery :francis:

Damn, didn't know the severity of his injury, thought he would be back later this month.

Getting ready to sit and watch the Nets game with the return of LeVert and now I have to leave the crib.

Haven't caught a game in a minute

Publicly denying the bursitis report a few weeks ago and now admitting that’s the issue is a terrible look. It’s cute when the team is being secretive about the status of Allen Crabbe and Sean Kilpatrick but there needs to be some transparency when it’s a superstar player. Gotta do better

The LI
Kyrie needs to have the surgery. Props to him for doing everything he can to get back this season, but his health for the next 2-3 seasons is more important.

Also this deads the "he's scared, he doesn't want to play without KD". You don't get cortisone shots (which can fukk you up) if you're trying to skip out. He had the free out with surgery and he passed on it.

Last, fukk the organization for hiding this. How can you have "no updates" when he's out here getting cortisone shots? Then Scoop reports his actual injury and you deny it? That's fukked up, and I can almost guarantee it was to keep tickets selling since Kyrie could technically be back anytime the way they told us.
