For the record they didnt take the world by storm till Say My Name....they were still in TLCs shadow when Bills Bills Bills dropped. Say My Name is when they shook shyt up because thats also when the break up happened. Independent Women solidified them. Survivor and Bootylicious made them household names

You aren't in anybody's shadow if your song is #1 on the hot 100

In the United States, "Bills, Bills, Bills" debuted at number 84 on the Billboard Hot 100 and climbed to number 1 five weeks later, dethroning Jennifer Lopez's debut single "If You Had My Love" from the top spot where it had remained for a month. It was Destiny's Child's first song that peaked at number one on the Hot 100 chart. "Bills, Bills, Bills" also reached number one on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks for nine consecutive weeks, making it one of the longest running number one singles ever on the chart and the most weeks at the summit in 1999

There's no way in hail that beyonce was 16 in that video :gucci:
shyt is kind of disturbing tbh.

Also it’s obvious from the jump that all the other girls were disposable in the eyes of their company outside of Beyoncé. :mjlol:Kelly Rowland is the only other one able to break out away from just being another “who?” Of the group.

There is even one scene in the first video where a bright light shines behind Beyoncé and blocks out the other girls for a second. Intentionally. :deadmanny:

Though the sad reality is that no doubt Beyoncé is talented but I wondered if colorism drove some
Of this. :mjpls:

Letoya was the only other DC member who's album went platinum in the US. Kelly never had an album that went platinum in the US.
