The film was alright. Although there's something resembling a plot here it is more about Rashida Jones' character trying to maneuver around her relationship with her maybe cheating husband (Wayans) and her relationship with her unapologetic playboy father (Murray). Murray is pretty great in the role and the film has all the droll humor and atmosphere of Lost In Translation. It just kinda fizzles out in the end, leaving any real dramatic confrontation in both plot threads on the table and wraps things up in a very obvious symbolic scene.

so was he cheating?

you can spoiler the response

No. The film is about her increasingly becoming worried that he is cheating on her due to some suspect moments but mostly because her father (a shameless womanizer who openly cheated on her mom) keeps enforcing the idea men can't be trusted and feeds her suspicions. In the end she's the one who messes up (not by cheating on him mind you) and pleads sorry to him.

Good watch. I love Bill Murray and he shines in this as a gregarious version of himself.

Marlon was barely in it and the chemistry between him and Rashida is strange.

Rashida was very good in her normal dry acting way with her cute nose and mouth doing the acting for her. She always dresses frumpy though and I don’t understand why!!

cute movie to enjoy with a glass of wine with your lady.

This film is dedicated to all of the overthinkers out there.

Not a bad movie, but if I’m ranking Sofia’s movies it’s near the bottom. Hope she can bring it with her next entry.
