they front loaded that Spider-Man footage...they included some bullshyt intro as part of "new footage" :russ: :skip:

most of the new shyt was rightfully cut stuff

They were real slick with the wording of 11 minutes of "additional" content.

After 102 days in theaters and $701.2M in ticket sales, Top Gun: Maverick, has toppled Black Panther for fifth all time at the Domestic Box Office. 2018's Black Panther, with it's $700.4M gross, moves to sixth place. It took 171 days for Black Panther to break the $700M mark compared to Top Gun: Maverick's aforementioned 102. Top Gun: Maverick reigned supreme this summer, as it finished in first place on Memorial Day ($33.8M) second place on Independence Day ($6.3M) and first place on Labor Day ($1.9M).

The Tom Cruise chart topper now stands at $1.44B worldwide, which is 12th all time, behind Frozen ll's $1.45B. Avatar, which is set for a re-release, looks to be safe in fourth place, with it's $760.5M domestic gross. Enjoy the $100M+ payout, Tom. Paramount better give this man an Executive position in the company. Next up, Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning. 1, 2, Ethan's coming for you. 3, 4 better lock your door.

Force Awaken does not deserve to be in that top spot :francis:

That number really is insane when u see the top 10. $936 Million? :wow: I did contribute to that total. Saw it in IMAX. That intro with "The Scavenger" playing courtesy of John Williams?

And that mighta been topped with the ending when this shyt hit

All 11 Star Wars movies are in the Top 200 all time, with the sequel trilogy doing:
  • Force Awakens - $936.6M (#1)
  • Last Jedi - $620.1M (#11)
  • Rise of Skywalker - $515.2 (#16)
That decline with each movie was atypical of Star Wars' prior box office performances. Rise of Jedi is actually behind Rogue One's $533.5M (#15 all time).

It was probably a perfect storm of Force Awakens being the first Disney movie, it being released a week before Christmas and being 10 years removed from Revenge of the Sith (7 years from The Clone Wars).

The lighting and glow from the lightsabers clashing on the 80x60 foot screen and lighting the theater :ohlawd:

Watched Top Gun 5 or 6 times. One of the best movies I've ever seen. 4D is worth it and the only option to consider if available.

Might peep again if it's still here on the weekend.

Unfortunately there's no 4D theaters near me. I'd have to drive down to Connecticut for a 4D Regal theater. I was just reading about 4D. It sounds dope like u in a Universal ride / movie with the seats moving and shyt. My IMAX theater only has subwoofers in the seats :mjlol:

Feel like Amsterdam is not going to perform well next month. Even Disney isn’t giving it much treatment when it comes to overall promotion.

I’m astonished with its cast every time I watch the trailer and yet I still find myself asking what the hell it’s about. Nothing wrong when a trailer keeps me guessing, but this one came off as convoluted.

I saw an ad for it on my fire stick. I'm looking at the white dude tryna figure out who it is. Come to find out, it's fukkin Christian Bale :ohhh:

That was the first time I've seen it advertised. The cast is crazy. 15 actors billed on the poster with Bobby Milk getting the "and" credit.

It’s crazy how Bale can go from looking like any average Brit who frequents the pub one month to Daniel Day-Lewis the next. Dude is basically

I’ll end up peeping Amsterdam sometime though. Heard Anya Taylor-Joy was a standout in it.

Is it too late for Amy Pascal to get him in the Kraven movie? That's the perfect role for him :ohhh: Anya Taylor-Joy is usually a standout. She was good in Last Night in Soho. I started watching Peaky Blinders cuz she's in it. :manny:
