it's pretty corny but definitely some cool dynamics going on. The grandma and Jamal working together is entertaining, and while being a lil straight forward and basic, the cholo aspect has made for some funny scenes too.

I'm a sucker for coming of age films and shows.

The pacing on the show is amazing.
The episodes is only 25 min, but it feels like a hour.
They tell a complete story each ep.


On another note, the only one that actually look like a HS freshman is Ruby

Black male character being a punk ass bytch and exhibiting gayish mannerisms

Gangbanging Latino played by suburban half Asian looking white boy

Terrible attempts at modern dialogue “am I going to have to beat someone’s ass?”-Monse’s dad
