You're just saying things just to say it. Megaupload was a major issue. He was raided and all his assets were seized in 2012. The U.S. has been trying to extradite him for 9 years but its been held up in New Zealand courts for various legal reasons and appeals. That case is still going with a recent update November of last year: Kim Dotcom's US extradition case stalls, Supreme Court calls for further arguments over copyright allegations - NZ Herald

If Kim dotcom were based in the U.S. he'd already be convicted and be sitting in prison.
