Omg why is the ps4 WiFi so slow?

I’m getting speeds like 300 kB which makes it impossible to download games my Xbox is right beside it and getting like 10 MB’s speed...is there a fix for this?

the pro and the slim got an upgrade.if you have a pro, then it might be network settings

The PS4 Pro has better speeds, but they still aren't as good as what you get on different devices from my testing. I remember when the PS4 Pro first came out, nobody was talking about the differences in network speeds, so I made a Youtube video comparing the PS4 and the Pro and that bih did numbers, people still commenting on it every now and then to this day.

The thing with networking is it is really YMMV. If you're on wireless, try using a wireless AC network and try changing the DNS servers on the PS4 to google's(8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4).

Also check the speedtest within the PS4 browser.

If youre not running a ps4 PRO youre never gonna get your mac speeds because the original PS4 can only see 2.4ghz WiFi

Even more than that though.... 2.4 ghz should still provide decent download speeds. The wifi hardware in the PS4 is just straight garbage. It's some shyt I could've built in my engineering lab in college. It's embarrassing.
