Knew it was gonna be with a white man...

And nikkas in here really talmbout happy for her

Where did they get those numbers from?I know what is meant by that comment. I was in a relationship in college. Many of my friends were as well. Those relationships didn't work out. I'm not sure why this needs to be explained--there are many bw that do get in relationships in college, and see a future with their "so", but things don't always work out. There are also more BW in college than BM. So no, not every BW is going to find future hubbie in college. Some will, some will not. For those that do not, it does not mean that they were intentionally trying to be single and independent. I know on the coli the mindset is that she just needs to get a man, but if that man isn't proposing or nowhere near ready to propose she cannot make herself get married.
"75% of BW are married by 35."
“Among black women, 70 percent of college graduates are married by 40, whereas only about 60 percent of black high school graduates are married by that age,” Tara Parker-Pope of the New York Times reported."
Both points taken from here:
The Top 4 Myths About Black Marriage
My point in posting those points is to illustrate that there are plenty of BW that end up marrying later on in life, for a multitude of reasons, but it isn't always as simple as they didn't try to find a husband in college. I believe the US census has stated that the average age for marriage in this country is 28. That number appears to apply more to WW... BW and BM take a little longer to make the plunge, in a lot of cases, they eventually do. There is nothing wrong with marrying your college sweetheart--to be frank I only know a few couples where this happened, but I realize it does happen. But honestly the majority of my married friends, met their "so" after college.
If you read it, the researchers evaluated the census information and what I posted above is what was derived. This also reflects what I’ve observed. The majority of black married couples that I know of in my own area all got married in their early to mid thirties. That’s not to say that younger bw and bm aren’t getting married too, but I live in an upper middle class area—about 41 percent black, and this is what I’ve observed. And of my friends only two stayed with the men they were with in college... the relationships have since ended and they’ve been in other relationships, some engaged, some married, some in ltrs, and some single but actively dating. In fact only on The Coli have I been told that in 2019, if a black woman isn’t married by 30 it means she’s a career women that didn’t want it.Where did they get those numbers from?
I wanna see the actual study. The stats is throwing me off.If you read it, the researchers evaluated the census information and what I posted above is what was derived. Majority of my friends that aren’t married have wanted to be married for years now, and they are just turning 30-32. They are trying. But what are they supposed to do when they aren’t able to meet suitable men that are proposing and trying to marry them? The focus on their career is more because it’s within their control and what they have to pay the bills and one of the ways they feel good about themselves.

I wanna see the specific census surveys they looked at.
I get my stats from blackdemographics.com and there is some conflict in numbers.
The Janet comparison wasn’t a great one, considering that she divorced after the dude mistreated her, and mentally abused her.it's never too old to have a baby once you've found the right partner.Look at Janet. Tamron must have been doing backflips when she found out.

Isn't she close to 50?![]()
Nah... they arent taught that because of oppression or some shyt like that...
Cause like the 1 dude that quoted u after said... most black women at 1 point were still stay at home, raising kid... taking care of the family types... we talking like before 1970's...
Feminism is the cause of the change... and black women swallowed it whole...
while white women took a bite, chewed it...told them that it taste good, but spit it back out
Can you post stats supporting this? This is not what I’ve been taught. Both of my great grandmas worked.
I have nothing against bw date wm, as I've dated some. Some actually prefer bm but are too head strong.
Nothing personal, but are you a gay male?Calm down @Gravity . You’ll find love someday. I’m sorry Tamron married a white man and that’s got you triggered
If anything I’m mad that grown black men are upset about interracial dating lol. Get a life my brothers
