They are going to respond. Most don't look at videos like that on Black Consciousness and complain about Black Life. Also the 2 who supported in here don't want to hear anything that is considered "Agenda Driven".
Thats a damn shame

gtfoh with that nonsense. Personally wear whatever the fuk you want. The OP asked an opinion, so the OP get's an opinion; anyone in here hating on someone for their opinion trying to downplay it like, "you're just ignorant that's your culture" needs to really stop and think about who's culture they are talking about.
By and large if you go to boston do the majority of Irish people rock Kilts? No. You know why? Cause the shyt is part of the HERITAGE not their culture...there's a difference.
A.A. wearing a skirt to rep their heritage is IMHO ok but again two things:
1. A black miniskirt isn't part of anyone's heritage except hookers
2. Stop acting like it's your culture, it's not.
TLDR

it was more in general towards anyone trying to say that miniskirt=african garb.If you're referring to me, since I was the one who posted the pic, the answer is no. I was commenting specifically on the conspiratorial video that kingsmen posted that indiscriminately lumped everything from kilts to African garb together with actual skirts for women (look at the pictures of the supposed skirts in the video, several of the people in them are clearly wearing African wraps.) I said specifically that it was sad that the allegedly pro-Black person in the video couldn't distinguish between traditional African culture and real instances of men wearing women's skirts in his conspiratorial ranting about the white man's emasculation of Black men. The reason I posted the pic was to show how common and casual that wear is in parts of the continent, and also to point out that kingsmen's argument about how wearing a traditional wrap on the bottom with a shirt on top was abnormal, when it's actually the most common way those garments are worn.
