I dont like Foxx personally, but he did a phenomenal job in Ray....who did ya'll have in mind to tackle such a role, who also has the star power to carry a heavily hyped, major motion picture release?
Stone is known for pushing the envelope....no way this movie doesnt touch on his extra-marital affairs, which are public knowledge. Stone has never been known for sanitizing his subjects, and playing it safe --- JFK stans almost committed suicide over Stone's Kennedy biopic.

Jamie said he has wanted to do a Mike Tyson biopic for years.
I could see him doing that...and making a serious movie about it.
But MLK seems a bit of a stretch for him.
I'd rather they went with someone else.

only one on that bullsht that I know of, is King's crazy ass right wing niece. I dont think the family even acknowledges her, and she damn sure doesnt carry any weight or power in the fam.

It will be interesting to see if the movie highlight Dr.King's true character and how he felt his Dream was a nightmare at the time when US entering the Vietnam War.

Agreed ..just find some unknown actor that can really act and looks like MLK..they're just doing it to sell at the box office..we need more black actors anyway in Hollywood..

The most important one with the biggest budget is the one people are focused on. And rightfully so. I don't really wanna see Foxx in this one. I can't see him pulling it off.

No one thought he could pull off ray either..
and on a side note I remember people going crazy hating that will smith was gonna play Ali and he killed that role

I'm willing to wait and see but so far I'm like
at the idea. And Ali was just okay to me. 
I'm not questioning Jamie's acting prowess. Boy can act but it's kind of lame that they couldn't take a chance on a no-name upincomer, but really, what big budget studio is taking chances? Hollywood using the same stars who are past their primes, majority White, to rehash the same subjects over and over.
