with all this discussion on usyk it brings me to another thing i keep saying....we need to have more tournaments in boxing

usyk and josh taylor have benefitted greatly from being in the WBSS and winning cuz it enhanced their resumes...and they havent had 20 pro fights yet

bottom line is usyk can be great on his own without having to use evander holyfield's career as the baseline...and for as many fighters i say on here that arent moving right..usyk has never been one of them

The thing is comparisons are naturally going to happen and it isn't necessarily a bad thing either. Comparing them and rating them DOESNT have to be some evil, racially motivated thing. They both were cruiserweights so just off the strength of that we can debate since we have enough factual data to make a reasonable comparison.

So what's the point of making this kinda of thread HERE if we aren't on that type of time? Go on Reddit and tell them how you feel

I'm saying right? I come into a Usyk ain't better than Holyfield thread and offer a opposing take with data backing my opinion up and everyone scurried away like roaches when the light comes on in the hood lol smh...I thought we hear to debate and talk :yeshrug:

I am seeing endless comparisons and to be honest are they warranted? The answer is yes as they both stepped up from Cruiserweight to Heavyweight to seemingly dominate (to early to say with Usyk if we are fair). Trust me when I say this isn’t a bias thing coming from the angle of racial bias but based on competition faced and defeated. Evander era was stacked with high competition and he went through wars while this current heavyweight division is :francis:. Obviously you can only face what is available so not to discredit Usyk but he is not on Evander level. Even if he goes on to dominate this current heavyweight era he still isn’t on his level. It’s the same way I don’t think the Klitschko would have had an impact if they was around in the 80’s and 90’s. Cacs are out of line with these white hopes and false comparisons the same way they trying to say Fury is now better than Ali and is an all time great.
U tripping on the klitschkos

Definitely tripping. Those guys are physical specimens with long superb jabs. To say they wouldn't be able to hang with the heavyweights of the past is just illogical considering their size and skillset.

Now with a name like "cacdestroyer", it's clear you see many things through racially motivated eyes lol but this is an instance where I don't think it applies. The Klitschkos get respect from the community not because of their skin color or the colors on their flag but because of their accomplishments in the ring.

I still think Usyk is a greater cruiserweight than Holyfield like I mentioned previously in the thread but I'd agree that Holyfield is the greater heavyweight atm. Wins against Fury or Wilder for undisputed status and some defenses of that crown will surely bolster Usyk's case.

Racists cacs aside because aint no pleasing them i dont even engage. :hubie: thats why i only talk boxing here n in the gym. :hubie:

Last time Holyfield fought at CW Roy Jones was still amateur.

the klitschkos def do not get the respect they deserve..actually vitali i think gets more respect than wlad does..vitali was mean in the ring and had a granite chin and most recognized that...just couldn't stay healthy....wlad though..few ppl had his kind of career turnaround...wlad rebounded from losses that would end most careers and became very dominant...how many fighters can say they kept a title and unified over almost 10 years? on top having his number of fights and not once do i remember him being injured or something...time will hopefully put more respect on his name
