I am seeing endless comparisons and to be honest are they warranted? The answer is yes as they both stepped up from Cruiserweight to Heavyweight to seemingly dominate (to early to say with Usyk if we are fair). Trust me when I say this isn’t a bias thing coming from the angle of racial bias but based on competition faced and defeated. Evander era was stacked with high competition and he went through wars while this current heavyweight division is :francis:. Obviously you can only face what is available so not to discredit Usyk but he is not on Evander level. Even if he goes on to dominate this current heavyweight era he still isn’t on his level. It’s the same way I don’t think the Klitschko would have had an impact if they was around in the 80’s and 90’s. Cacs are out of line with these white hopes and false comparisons the same way they trying to say Fury is now better than Ali and is an all time great.

Evander is the greatest cruiser ever so no shame in Usyk being considered the 2nd best ever. He's also one of the greatest heavies ever so nothing wrong if Usyk doesn't achieve what he did there either. But Usyk should still be applauded for the shyt that HE has done in the ring so far.

Damn he's not as good as the best CW of all time and a HOF.
Usyk is trash I guess, no reason to talk about him.

I wouldn't say Evander's HW run was dominant at all either. Probably better described as resilient.

go on reddit and you see endless Usyk/Holyfield comparions

according to reddit boxing , Usyk has surpassed Holyfield's CW accomplishments considerably

then again they glorified everything cac related on that subreddit , so no surprise .

Always an attempt to erase black fighters legacies by saying this or that non black fighter is better or has matched his accomplishments. Black people be liking these fighters too. But it’s so annoying. They only do this shyt with us all the fukking time. Mayweather beat the fukk outta Pac-man and Canelo and people still want to say he not better than them :beli:. I like the dude too… but boxing fans be the worst. They hate black fighters. The level of competition is in no way the same as Holyfield era

Naw sorry brehs, Usyk is most definitely the greatest cruiserweight of all time. That's no knock against Holyfield at all. One of the greatest fighter/heavyweights/cruiserweight of all timelines. But subjectively, Usyk's the greatest cruiserweight :sas2:

Usyk: 16 fights, 6 title defenses, 1 undisputed defense (all on the road)
Holyfield: 18 fights, 5 title defenses, 0 undisputed defenses (all at home)

Usyk: the division was 40 years old, heavier (200lbs) and much deeper in talent when he cleaned it out.
Holyfield: the division was less than a decade old and lighter (190lbs); many viewed it the way "bridgerweight" is seen right now.

Usyk: fought for world title in his 10th bout, consolidated all 4 titles (+The Ring) in 15th.
Holyfield: fought for world title in his 12th bout, consolidated 3 titles in 18th (NOTE: The Ring did not recognize cruiserweight until 2005)

Usyk: his four title fights took place in Poland, Latvia, Russia (during a war no less) and England.
Holyfield: all three title fights took place in the USA.

Usyk: 8 of 16 cruiserweight fights on the road
Holyfield: 16 of 18 cruiserweight fights at home

Usyk: combined opponents record 354-65-9 (83% winning percentage)
Holyfield: combined opponents record 312-107-13 (72% winning percentage)

Usyk: wins over 4 undefeated fighters (all on the road)
Holyfield: zero undefeated opponents

Usyk: wins over 5 former/current world title holders and 1 unified title holder (all on the road)
Holyfield: wins over 2 former/current world title holders (all at home)
