All my grandmothers out lived their husbands by decades. And they have/had family, friends and lives that went just fine. I'll skip the nurse maid shyt they had to do in between. Men die way before women breh breh. That dying alone shyt are man problems.

Real talk it's sad out here for older women. My father passed in 2020 and Mom has been alone since and doesn't seem to want another man. Mom is nearly 70. Four more years.

Grandpa died in 2006 and yet grandma is still kicking and almost into her 90's.

Even the women that were married 30, 40, 50 years with no divorce more often than not end up alone. I wish there were more empathy towards women and their struggles later in life. We men need to take care of our health more to be there for the women in our lives longer. Women can outlive their husband by 10-20 years. Imagine being alone that long. shyt is sad.

Men in general just die before their partners.

Even those who were healthy as oxes.

My parents were together for 36 years before my father passed at 70.

Mom is still kicking, has her activities and friend circle, she misses him(we all do) but you can't be mad at damn near 40 years of wedded bliss.

Now for those who NEVER had it/that, yeah bitterness is a likely companion.

The point was although it’s sad it is fact of life: either you or your life partner will transition first.

This thread is about ppl saying how sad it is seeing older women who want a spouse and won’t get one. A lady in her 50s-70s who is alone because her hubby passed VS a lady in her 50s-70s saying she wants a husband.






That being said, a 70something widow in my office is about to marry an 80something widower and is moving to his state before xmas. Very fun, spirited woman. I love it!

These old ppl are still finding companions if they want them and can appeal to others in some way. Chick in the OP could find some man at bingo or something if she got her look and attitude together
