Dreams Are Colder Than Death...
If only Hollywood would let make the sequel to Inside Man or do justice to the Jackie Robinson biopic then he wouldn't be doing this shyt
i wonder if they'll still have the hallway fight scene all in one shot
The incest part was the big major shock value of the first. How the fukk can they remove that shyt.
not defending that but most of us would know the outcome already right? The twist in the OG was very powerful and the film should be left alone, unless, the remake would be issued a decade or much later on.
Most of us? Yes. Most people? Hell no. You gotta remember the people on this board ain't the average movie goer. I've yet to meet anyone that heard of "Oldboy", let alone seen it, before I put them up on it.

I dunno when you seen the movie but there was no "build up" for me. I seen it around the time it came out in the U.S., fairly close to it's original release around '03. So there was very little hype surrounding it unless you were hardcore into info on foreign movies.
It wasn't like I went into it expecting a twist. I heard it was great, and was impressed by the direction, cinematography and acting. The twist was just some extra shyt. Take out the twist and you still have classic cinema like the hammer scene, the hallway fight, the editing when he's locked up, the octopus scene, etc. With the twist it's on another level.
"Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance" was aight. "Oldboy" and "Lady Vengeance" are his best movies. "Thirst" was aight too. That cyborg movie was trash.
If you like these kinds of movies "I Saw The Devil" is another classic.

i fell asleep during the og. spike will make this film way more enjoyable.
