When I was put on to illmatic as a pre teen, I probably ran back NY State of Mind for a whole day before listening to the rest of the album lmao.

When I heard Jesus Walks and All Falls Down as a kid. I was blown away, such a contrast to Luda and 3 6 Mafia

I’ve always liked Run DMC, Rakim and Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five. Hearing Slick Rick debut this year blew my mind.
