From what I understood I thought a wolf was just as bad as a pitbull or a rottweiler. I thought a wolf was on that level.

But anyway, what makes this story impressive and interesting is not that a human killed a wolf with no firearms. Its the fact that it was some old ass lady only armed with an axe. That's what had me

To me that proves we should not be afraid of those dogs. If you're trapped in the woods just arm yourself with a sharpened stick that you cant break over your knee. After a few wolves that circle you get poked into humbleness, you will be left alone.
