No one "old" should be a ref anywhere.
Refereeing a basketball game is a tough job I can't even imagine what it's like on the NBA level. Stop the hate.
excuses, excuses, being a doctor is a tough job too, dont mean im gonna be ok with you killing me in surgery cause of some dumb mistake. I aint gonna be like oh no problem when you cost me a title, besides its one thing to miss a call its another to blatantly cheat.
who the fukk is hayword workman it sounds like a nikka out of a childrens book
i dont see the difference, obviously its way more serious to take someones life but point is if you do a bad job, it means you cant handle it, if they actually held refs accountable they would get better, and thats assuming its not fixed which when we are talking NBA that is in question. Plus like in baseball weve seen tons of calls that everyone makes with the naked eye and the umps cant make it?You sound like someone who doesn't even play basketball competitively...and you obviously have never officiated anything.
Comparing a missed call in the NBA to a doctor killing someone in surgery is among the worst analogies you could have come up with.
If you have ever played basketball at ANY LEVEL...have you ever argued with someone whether something was a foul or not? Officiating at the NBA level is probably the hardest job in professional sports (not counting players).
The game moves incredibly fast, there is contact on EVERY possession and beyond that you've got half the league blatantly trying to trick you by diving to the court every time they feel the slightest contact.
I don't believe that the NBA refs are the best and there are plenty of them that take way to much pride in making themselves a part of the action. That doesn't change the fact that fans are CLUELESS as to how hard the sport is to officiate.
