A lot of yall really didn't watch Fedor in his prime and it shows with some of the fighters being suggested. Cain, Mir, Couture. None of those names would beat Fedor in his prime. The only name mentioned that might have given him problems is Barnett.

Fedor was fighting and beating the elite of the HW division. The UFC HW division has never been anywhere near as good as PRIDE's was, Fedor had speed, power, Sambo and a great submission game. Prime Fedor had an ungodly chin and he survived being slammed on his fukkin neck. He fought elite strikers, elite wrestlers, elite grapplers.

No. Once again we a talking PRIME Fedor. Not the guy who lost to Werdum and Big Foot. Stipe hasn't beat anyone as good as Big Nog or Crocop. Both those guys were flabby when they came to the UFC but there is no doubt in my mind that they would have dominated in the UFC in their prime.

stipe would get washed by most of the top pride hws, even someone like prime kharitonov or aleks would be a tough assignment

now that i think about it their division was pretty weak past fedor/big nog/crocop/barnett. who would you guys put on that second tier, aleks/kharitonov/hunt/schilt/herring?

Fedor imo in his prime would've destroyed everyone in UFC Dana ruined that.
Fedor came up during the early times before drug or cocaine tests. He's built different. I honestly think a focused fedor could wrin bellator gold, UFC ehh my heart says yes but my mind knows better

Nah breh M1 global ruined the fight. what they were asking for was outrageous and it stalled every single fight. they wanted co promotion, m1 global tags all over the place and fighters thrown on the card and other bullshyt that was gonna help their floundering mma org. Zuffa was having none of it not just dana white the Lorenzo brothers too

usada would wash the top ten in every pride division today, stipe on even footing would put the paws to all those guys. including fedor, his strength doesn't work today, being a small quick hw is a disadvantage against 250+ plus fight day guys who are just as quick and hands just as good. Cormier, heavyweight aj, etc etc etc would run rough shot over those whoever would pass drug testing first. we seen what happen to crocop, nog, werdum and overeem the minute they started getting tested and lets not talk about how all the legends all fell off or just left the moment usada became a thing in 2015. on top of it being in a cage and not a ring which is pride fans favorite excuse when fedor or whomever legend would lose in america

On top of that for the rules, which was more lacking than current MMA rules. He was a god.

like one thing I miss about Pride was the more save and brutal they was. Stomps and face kicks on downed fighters was allowed

It was truly more about survival than it was competition and a sport. Which was cool with me

the stomps and face kicks were to discourage the lay and pray shyt people do on the ground, and they still did wasn't that big of a difference from UFC

probably with fighters is just MMA evolved, he damn got KO'd by Brett Rogers who worked at sam clubs before he just up and decided he wanted to be a fighter

the level of athletes are better and their skills are better, prime fedor would get washed by light heavyweights in the UFC at this point
