On top of that, SOOO many wrestlers from Flair, to Taker, to HBK, to Sting, to Warrior, to Macho Man, to Goldberg, to many more have stories about how Hogan goes out the way to sabotage guy’s pushes when he feels they threatening his spot.
Dude is insecure as hell and the ONLY thing he got going for him is that gimmick. Damn shame...

Funny thing is, is that Hogan can be a very good worker. However I recall Steamboat talking about a story how after WM3, no one was going to shake Hogan/Andre's hand, but shaking Steamboat/Savage's hand because they stole the show from Hogan.
Now yes he was working with Andre, but I think that type of thing eats at Hogan. Believing that the Fans come first over Working. The problem though, was that the fans he appeal to were children, who more into theatrics than the technical nature.
So growing up, they began to want more than the poses and formula of Hulking Up/Big Boot/Leg Drop.
Hogan thought kept doing it, and then from that along with him always butting in, you could see even without the dirtsheets that he had an ego to him. When the racism came to light, then the bottom just fell out.
Now he is a guy who is retired, but is afraid of being forgotten. Now in Wrestling this isn't a problem, but for Hogan he will always be viewed as, "Oh he needs his 15-20 mins for a stupid thing." to Wrestlers who want to be on TV.
Then he walks back and expects to be treated as the Legend.
Now with say Sting, I am sure he would go back and introduce himself and get to know the young wrestlers. But he wouldn't give off that aura of, "I am the Legend. Respect me." but instead of a person who would be willing to teach you if you ask.
Hogan wouldn't even care about who you are, just smile as long as you remember who he is.

People don't want to be linked with him because it's bad for business, plus he has a tendency to make things about himself. Who wants to be associated with that? And as time goes on Hogan will continue to be an afterthought as the new wrestlers will be further removed from his era.
