I was a freshman in high school when this movie was released and remember it having a lot of hype. I even saw it in theaters on Christmas day 2006.
It was a decent movie, the dude in the
smiley was his trainer in the movie.Fun fact: Sly originally wanted Roy Jones Jr to play Carver role in this movie and called him a ridiculous amount of times but Roy never returned his calls. So he went to his rival Carver to play the role.
Also Carl Weathers (Apollo Creed) wanted a role in the movie even though his character died in Rocky 4
Mike Tyson had a cameo in this movie too in the crowd during the fight. So Mike Tyson exists in the Rocky/Creed universe.
