gamecube really only has a decent sized community around the PSO games, and it's primarily 1&2. the japanese do have an amazing controller/keyboard hybrid that makes online communicating and gameplaying easy, but it's expensive.

dreamcast has a wider variety of games and the dreamcast keyboard is far cheaper
