2600 homicides is indescribable. nikkas just wake up and didn't come home 8 or 12 hours later. And that was the case for 6 to 9 people each day.
I can still hear the gunshots from the Uzi's and police chopper's flying over my bedroom every Friday and Saturday night like clockwork.
But it was home and as a kid I ain't know it wasn't normal

Don't know if your referring to Kendrick's parents or not but if you are they are from Chicago...LA cats sound Southern as hell back then. Looks like fun times even though it was hectic.

That's why I roll my eyes when nikkas talk about the violence today. shyt isn't even comparable. This the safest it's ever been in the big cities. NY and LA is cakewalk compared to what it was like in the 80s and 90s.

That's crazy as a young one who was born in Mississippi i use tonwant to live in Cali because of tha movies and music but I know that shyt was wild. I moved here shyt almost 10yrs now and my girl from here. She would show me around her old neighborhood and tell me it use to be nothing but black people in her area it's hard to imagine now cuz it's nothing but mexicans.
