I don't want to own a gun so I can't say this would happen to me. But let's just pretend that I did. If I had an intruder who I felt was trying to steal my shyt I would show my gun to scare them off. If they were trying to attack me I would shoot them in their leg so they couldn't walk. Then I would call the police.

I wouldn't shoot someone where it could kill them because that would make me feel horrible. I don't think some one should lose their life for stealing.

However I know people will do different things. I think this man used poor judgement. He didn't even feel sorry that he "had " to do it.

Smh does he deserve jail time? Um maybe but he could have been thinking that they could come back for him to hurt him. Idk....

Real life aint the movies... first off things happen in a split second so you wont have time to aim nor will you will be in the right state of mind to think clearly... in a panic you would likely aim for the torso or center of their body.. and even if you hit their leg please understand people die from getting shot in the legs too. Its very easy to bleed out. Television and movies has warped peoples perspective.

didn't read the thread, just the first couple posts but chasing after someone after they've fled the scene and killing them isn't defense. that's murder.

And basically gloating about it on national TV and adding in the fact that the woman was (allegedly) pregnant doesn't make him look any better either.

I can't blame him. If you've ever had something stolen from you then you know the anger that goes through you. I remember when they stole my subs I was searchin on. Craigslist for months hoping someone would put em up.

that was their 3rd time breaking into the dude's house and they beat him down during this robbery encounter. i dont wish death on anybody, but if you go breaking into people's houses, especially multiple times, then if you get shot, that was something you brought on yourself.

So they had broken into his home multiple times? I think it's safe to say that yeah, they would have come back. Good riddance. Career criminals and they would have wound up killing someone else if they haven't already. You live your life like that, you deserve whatever befalls you and I don't give a damn that she was supposedly pregnant - and emphasis on supposedly, because similar to everyone being certain the victims were of color before any definitive proof, there is absolutely none suggesting that this woman was indeed pregnant. She didn't value her unborns life enough to not be engaging in burglary and other nefarious activities and crimes, so why would any of her victims blink twice? The backwards public however, tends to sympathize with criminals more so than they do the victims when the shyt backfires and the predator becomes the prey, despite the fact that these same people you want to walk away would put a bullet in your mothers head if there was a lick to be hit.

Unfortunately for her, she ran across an individual that didn't believe in letting one who would cause them and theirs bodily harm. He crushed her completely, and I guarantee anyone thinking about robbing that home in the future will think twice.
