Kenny / Okada is 2 athletes doing spectacular athletic stuff. But if you just caught this match without knowing anything, you wouldn't be able to pick out the hero and villain.

Kenny / Okada matches have psychology, but people confuse that with STORYTELLING.

That is why Flair/Steamboat ranks above this feud.
Storytelling goes both ways: the build-up and the matches. Okada/Omega told stories with their matches.

And as for the build up, sure it didn't have a face/heel, but this was built on a matter of who is the best between 2 competitors.

The best match of Okada's title reign wasn't even against Omega, it was against Shibata. If he ever does return to the ring, when facing Okada again the match in itself will carry more weight than the entire feud between Omega and Okada ever did.

Omega/Okada gets propped up a lot because of Meltzer's ridiculous 6 star rating nonsense that he re-ups on every match because he knows it gets his product (the wrestling observer) more attention. You are all letting yourselves get worked into a shoot by Double Dave.

Flair and Steamboat had 3 matches in 89.

They had a lot of matches in 89'. Five of them made tape, 3 TV events and 2 house shows cams.

And as Ole said, you add all the matches they've had over the years you get more than 100, with like 20-25 of them being available in some form.
