I think 12 year olds can go hunting... at least I did when I was 12.

It's OK as long as medical checks are there. We should invest in high school counseling and mental health in this nation. Most of our issues with mass shooting aren't because of guns.

In Urban areas.... social economic factors, stigmas, education, drug wars, and poverty are the issues.

The CT Assault Rifle Ban has been put into effect.

Like a dumbass, I forgot to get the newly required Certificate of Ownership for my AR15 in time (January 1)

Checked out the website, thinking I could just pay a late fee..turns out my 3 options are to

1. render it permanently inoperable
2. Give it to the police
3. Sell it to a federally licensed arms dealer

penalty for noncompliance: felony misdemeanor - one year in prison


Heading off to Hoffman's tonight, they're gonna rape me

they fukked me over big time, but I really didn't have a choice. Either sell it to a FFA or not. Otherwise I might as well have just kept it. The Federally licensed dealer is the only one who could give me a legal transfer form. If I sold it to you, and had no record of legal transfer, if the police came knockin I'd be even more fukked.

Can you just "sell" it to an FFA dealer and then buy it right back from him? Or does the ban mean your gun had to be grandfathered in to stay legal?

to stay legal I had to get some certificate of ownership, but I fukked up and missed the deadline. Hoffman's bought mine, and they're going to take it to a store in another state and sell it.

Once you sell it to the FFA dealer, it becomes legal, right? Why not just buy it back from him now that its official and they can give you a certificate of ownership. I'm not familiar with the actual CT ban so it might not be possible but it seems like selling it to an FFA dealer will make it in compliance with the new law and then you can just buy it back off them.
