ALC is kinda saving hip-hop for me

I have to say Im a stan. The dude continues to reinvent and challenge himself with new projects and artists everytime out

He worked with most of the legendary NYC acts, LA acts, even worked with Scarface, Wayne, TI, Ross etc down-south. He DJd for Eminem a few years back and now hes opened up to a whole new generation: Bronson, Fashawn, Domo Genesis, all from different regions with different sounds

Theres no reason why ALC cant be Top 5 when its all said and done if he continues at this rate. The man continously makes quality hip-hop and does not seem to discriminate between mainstream and underground labels

idk why more bigger artist (kanyes, jayzs, ross) dont go for alchemist beats on their albums

cant go wrong with an alc beat :smugfavre:

If you look at the discography the only people to never really work with ALC are Jay-Z and Busta Rhymes. Damn near everyone else from the KRS to Linkin Park and everyone in between. Jay never worked with him because Jay had Just and Kanye at that time and ALC was working a lot with Nas, Mobb, and LOX, who all had beefs with the ROC around that time. Alchemist said in an interview once after submitting beats for The Blueprint that Jay told him, "You're playing for the wrong team."

Plus he tweeted the other day: "Not many open budgets for rappers these days so im back to working w the young talent. Chasing checks will have your music swag all fukked up "

He's worked on majors and got plenty of big checks when producers could command huge fees. Now he wants to get high and make music at his house with his buddies. I don't blame him.

What album are we talking about?

Styles P - The Myth off Styles' new free album. It's a 5 minute song broken into 4 different beats/parts.

Yes they do. They have an incredible catalog together.

I feel the same way. And the thing is is that the way he's been able to so effortlessly adapt and stay relevant...as a producer it's so much easier to have longevity in the game, if ALC is inspired he can literally keep doing this for years and years to come.

There's no doubt Justice League have been impressive this year, but in terms of quality and quantity nobody is fukking with Alc's 2012 run.

I remember myself and other folks thinking Alc was dope back in the day, but never really seeing him as That Dude. I kinda thought he was in that Premo vein and would be replaced eventually, so to speak. But he has never fallen off, and his style just keeps evolving. Dude coulda stayed doing the same thing, but he expanded like crazy and surrounded himself with dope people.

Plus Alc has co-signed some of the best new (and not so new) rappers in the game - Bronson, Meyhem, Esquire, Roc Marciano, AG Tha Coroner, Fashawn...the list goes on and on. Imagine if other high profile producers were fukking with the new wave of artists like Alc is, man. He's got a monopoly on some of the most promising pens in the game right now, and you know what's crazy? None of it sounds the same. He's hitting nikkas with different shyt, different samples, different sounds...beyond dope.

Russian Roulette can't be fukked with
