Even in the Trump era when other states like GA and AZ have moved to the left, these two states still seem to have shifted hard to the right over the last decade.

Florida polling last cycle :hhh: not to mention Gillum losing

And it doesn't seem like anybody other than an Obama-level Dem has a chance in OH these days.

It's debatable whether they should still be considered swing states. But maybe that's being defeatist. Do you think Dems have a chance in these states or should the focus be elsewhere?

Gillum lost by a super slim margin as a black man to a guy who ran on a platform of sucking off Trump. Florida Dems should put up someone that is hispanic or a dude-bro if they really want to compete. Florida's problem isn't demographics its that Florida Dems lack presence and notable party figures. Nikki Fried probably has the most name recognition but I just know Florida voters would be :patrice:about some stupid shyt like her Disney villain eyebrows

One of you on here made a joke about Kevin Nash running for the governor but I don't think yall even realize how much support he'd get:dead: This state a joke but its still winnable

People saying FL is doable but we need a new roster are 100% correct. Florida Dems behave like northeast Dems (because they are) and have 0% dog in them like the races down here are a foregone conclusion in their favor. Obama won Florida because he came through here with his gloves off and high energy. Hil and Joe sleepwalked through here and did absolutely nothing for the fringes of the voter base. Gillum almost did it down here by himself against a Trump acolyte.

Both are doable but like others have said there needs to be an overhaul. I’d say that Dems should focus on the pertinent issues of those constituencies and send the best young talent to those areas to grow a stronger Dem roster rooted in the community.

If shyt like VA and GA can happen then anything is possible.

OH is cooked unless Dems follow Browns playbook of catering to the huge labor class in that state. FL is always in play due to the demographics but like others said the state parties are on total opposite spectrums of competency
