education was the biggest issue in VA

the fact that VA dems thought that the CRT shyt was the issue and not the teachers getting fukked over by ridiculous stuff like ballooning classroom sizes, lack of resources when the online learning initiative was pushed with ineffectual support, etc was wild to watch playout in real time. dems let national level talking points blur state level common sense and doubled up on the hubris in the last few minutes like they had it in the bag.

im kinda shocked the ethopia thing played as much a part as it did, but again even acknowledging the concerns here and there would've gone a long ways

He was playing both sides, he just refused to outright acknowledge them. Go look at his rallies, not so many red hats, but they are there. He was just smart enough not to scare the moderates with voter fraud stuff. But not too long ago, and you can just google this, he was supporting Kari Lake and her election denial.

I mean he’s not stupid. Youngkin and DeSantis are both being floated as the future of the party. Youngkin can’t run again right after his term ends so he’s be free unlike DeSantis who would have to give up his seat.
