Yeah not so sure why this became a Nas vs Jay thread (actually, I'm completely sure)

Also in general, stans are stans. They are gonna defend shyt and down other rappers to the point of annoyance

I dont know how people can say Nas stans are any more annoying than say 2pac, 50 cent or Eminem stans. They can say their rappers are more popular than Nas but I'm sure we've all heard some stupid shyt from them. Pac stans still make threads dissing biggie and bringing up NY vs LA shyt like its 95, 50 Cent stans stay talking about money and success in the face of a crumbling empire and Em stans? I mean, I'm not sure the majority of them listen to anything other than Em himself or people he co-signed.

As far as Kendrick, I was actually one of the first people to unequivocally call GKMC a classic, and definitely one of the only "older heads" to do so. I just think the "I Love Myself" joint sounds cheesy and that Isley sample is kind of wack to me, they did nothing at all in terms of flipping it. Hoping the rest of the album sounds much better.

Whether you live in the States, Europe, Middle East, Africa, we probably all know a cat or two growing up who took that to another level with same tats, goatee, bandanna etc. I knew this Palestinan kid growing up who didnt know who Pac was until after he died and repped him hard in the late 90s/early 2000s, had his posters on the wall, put a Thug Life henna tat on his belly () tried to grow the goatee and looked for vintage black Versace demim shirts like what Pac was wearing in Hit em Up

Nas and Wu Stans to me outside of SOHH/Coli exist in abundance but I find their more the toughest critics to please (see the scrutiny both acts got in the mid 90s pre-Supereme Clientele/Stillmatc and post IWW/Forever) and I think that just comes from the sensibilites of being into all things New York. After Stillmatic though, you had a more passionate Nas fanbase that found a way to find good in his music yet he also had fans who were tough critics. Thats basically where all the arguments come from, it aint really Jay fans vs Nas fans all the time
