People don't really hate him like they use to so it wouldn't be that bad

A lot of people aren’t mad anymore so much as they’re just apathetic to it now . He’s a flat and one dimensional white meat babyface. After a while that anger turns to indifference. Nothing to like or hate about the guy as a character, though you could argue he’s a terrible face since he does the occasional heel things and frequently buries guys on the mic like a heel would while being presented as a face.
