I hated that you had to know someone with the game around the way just to get Kadabra to evolve. shyt was dumb. Plus dude wasn't good when you were battling other people cause he couldn't take a hit.

In game he was wrecking whole squads though

You can literally throughout the whole game with just your starter and Kadabra. Once Kadabra learns psybeam, its a wrap.

I traded in all my guap at the casino for a Dratini and it's moveset is straight wack juice.

I'm on a rom. I remember when I first revisited Pokemon a few years back and it was great until I beat the game. For whatever reason, I couldn't the Nintendo Wii fi to work so that meant no trades or battling other people. That's when I became bored and depressed with it. I really didn't know anyone older than my shoe size with the game and, I wasn't about to start soliciting kids on my block for trades, so I sold my DS and the game on Amazon.

If however, there was a way for me to battle my fellow brehs, I would make the investment in the game. On the surface Pokemon is marketed towards children but its deeper than that. Its actually a competitive game and, with the introduction of Effort Values (EVs), you have to pay attention to how you level your Pokemon.

Actually, there is an online Pokemon community called Smogon that's dedicated to competitive battling. If you guys are interested, we can set up a group here and organize tournaments there.
