so the Phantom Zone here works differently than I’ve previously seen it in other DC projects. I was always looking at it like you had to use a device to send someone there. I still don’t understand how Superboy ended up there.

The girl that Superboy is holding is Phantom Girl. She's a member of the Legion of Superheroes (who are from the future). One of her powers is the ability to travel from Earth directly to the Phantom Zone without needing a Phantom Zone Projector.

She saved Superboy by phasing into the Phantom Zone. However, that took a lot out of her and she's knocked out.

any theory on what you think is next for the plot?

Based on my thoughts, official confirmation and some theories that I've seen online:


*The Green Lantern Corps is going to show up in the next episode. The GL are going to play a role in the rest of this arc and most likely the rest of the season.

*Rocket is going to learn how to deal with her son Amistad's autism by her experience with Orion and his inherited rage mode (which he got from Darkseid).

*General Zod was probably sent to the Phantom Zone as a punishment. He's going to try to gain Superboy's trust and "trick" Superboy into freeing him from the Phantom Zone and have SB be on his "side".

*Lor-Zod (dude in the honeycomb orb thing) is General Zod's son. He probably intentionally set that bomb and had Superboy sent to the Phantom Zone (knowing that Phantom Girl was going to save him) in order to free his father.


Those are just a few theories though. Anything could happen.

I said it earlier in the thread...this season might really be Vandal Savage triumphant, the future the legion comes from is everything Vandal Savage is planning for.

The Earth as the center of the Galaxy with a literal legion of metahumans protecting it.

Savage season in full effect.

Bout time we getting some kinda payoff with Bart Allen going back in time too.

I also figured that one of either Darkseid or Savage had to be had to be getting info from the future...both seem so sure about the prophecy of Earth and Apocalypse being the last planets standing

Dope episode, but my only issue is that the pacing of this season has been rather confusing. Just when exactly in the timeline does this arc take place as you would think that we would have already seen Zatanna by now letting them know about Superboy’s whereabouts.
