Dope first half of the season :ehh:

Good to see the old gang mature and grow since the original show. Black Lightning is pretty dope in this too.

I really loved how they incorporated some of the newer DC stuff into the show like the Court of Owls, Harper Row, and Johnathan Kent.

The new cast of kids are cool so far I feel this interpretation of Cyborg is one of the best I've seen since the Teen Titans show.

They really love doing the Judas Contract arc huh? Well, I know Weisman will do a good job switching things up from the OG story.

thats because the contract is pretty much her origin story..

but talking over with my daughter .. this could be a Greg misdirection similar to how all the hints was hinting to Harry being the GG but it wasn't.. but either way i have faith in Greg and Brandon

:heh: I wanted to laugh at this Doom Patrol Go thing they got going....

But knowing what I know about how that first team wound up... I can't. :mjcry:

Oh, and fukk Niles Caulder, and Steve Dayton (mento) can die in a fire. Slowly. :pacspit:
That was pure brilliance breh...I felt the same i wanted to laugh but watching and comprehending the comedy/tragedy go hand in hand had me like:wow::sadcam::sadcam: "Now wait here, we all have to go on a mission and die":sadcam:
Also revealed why Gar really quit the life "And avoid all dooooom patroooollls":to:
Speaking of a Caulder and Dayton...every on air incarnation lf them paints them as the WOAT....Mento on the teen titans cartoon...and Caulder on the Titans live action....do those two have any redeeming qualities in the comics?

:ehh: all in all this was a good season. It felt claustrophobic as fukk. DCAU got this shyt mastered, and it shows.

I'm kinda ehh how..... Halo got tagged as the Starfire innocent ditz, but I like her. I like the twist on her origin.

Don't like Cyborg's angry voice :mjlol:

GeoForce being generically hot headed

Don't like Forager, cause I don't like comic relief characters. Don't like Jar Jars.

I highly doubt we get that 80's level fukkery. The world is a "safer" place now.

erh... that's not a "dislike"... just a statement.

Loved the fact that it's back.

Love the fact that it's still HEAVY on the easter eggs, while not being so obvious that it's both annoying and closed off for non comic nerds

Loved them delving into Gar's tragic past, even for an ep.

Loved watching Nightwing be Nightwing, even after making peace with Titans TV dikk Grayson.

Loved them further exploring Conner and Megan's relationship.... hell, all the relationships.

All in all, I'm happy as shyt with it. It's not :gladbron::gladbron::gladbron: levels, but I've been spoiled. It's just.... great to..... it's like they know that a lot of the fans of DCAU have grown up, and they're not insulting their adulthood simply because it's animation. It grew with you in it's absence.

Solid 4/5, and would actually recommend it to folks comfortable with comic media, but ehh at cartoon versions.

Welcome back, YJ. Thanks for being here. :salute:

Nope.

Well, I will say that despite being a piece of shyt, Caulder really did always fight for the sake of humanity.... he just never gave a shyt about his chess pieces. He had no problem ever crippling queens, bishops and rooks so they could be his pawns. He had no problem fukking his folks up mentally just so they would be dependent on him.

Mento had NO redeeming qualities. He was a coward, a power junkie and Rita only loved him because he pulled a Professor X and made her do it with his powers. That helmet only let him be himself.

Dayton is closer to a Hank Pym type in the comics.
He was an OK dude but then the Mento helmet made him go nuts for a while.

Wasn't that incarnation of Dayton as always being a true blue a$$hole only introduced in one of the recent DCU reboits? Maybe the New52? I can't keep up.

We all in agreement that Young Justice the goat though, right?
I’m still biased towards the DCAU (might be because I grew up on it) but YJ is definitely tough.. the biggest thing they have going is access to all the characters + it seems like they don’t have as much WB influence and get to do what they want

This could make or break the debate but there’s a million different story arcs going on at once in YJ because it seems like they’re trying to show that all the big comic storylines exist (Death in the Family, Son of Batman, Judas Contract, etc) in this universe.... not a problem but there’s a lot going on
