Don't remind me
Hey, at least he was getting the correct reaction from the crowd and acted his role like he should've and gave us a few classic matches (vs HBK summerslam 2002, elimination chamber 2002, 2/3 falls Armageddon 2002, I really enjoyed hell in a cell at bad blood 2003, last man standing royal rumble 2004, triple threats wrestlemania 20 and backlash 2004, hell in a cell bad blood 2004, elimination chamber New Years revolution 2005, hell in a cell vengeance 2005), not to mention one of the best themes they ever recorded when evolution formed.

Finally jumping on, I have to say I really enjoyed Mania as a whole

The Wyatt/Orton match was just odd, didn't like the flow, the finish, the whole vibe. They built that for so long just for some pictures of maggots and an RKO out of nowhere

And of course Roman/Taker. Was just really sad to see Taker try to do it one last time, but he didn't have it. And to those blaming Roman for it :why:

Roman did everything he could for that match, but when you're wrestling one of those CPR dummies how much can he do? IDC who Taker faced tonight, you weren't getting a classic out of him

Roman did heel spots with the roll outs, the chair beatdown. Hopefully they keep up the cocky arrogant "This is my yard now" shyt. WWE knows hes getting booed forever now, they sealed that. To me that says the underdog Roman is done. He's now the guy that retired the Undertaker. You can't walk that back to "How will Roman overcome ____?" because the answer is he can do whatever he wants, he retired Taker at Mania.

But the beards are gonna whine forever about this, already they're blaming the botches on Roman :mjlol: hell they're blaming everything on him, its pathetic :shaq2:

The Big Dog is here, its his yard now :banderas:

HHH vs Rollins is when things started to suck

If a guy gets nuclear heat, you have to turn him heel. We've already been dealing with this in regards to cena since 2005. When your top face gets "die rocky die" or go away Heat, it hurts everything else on the show. You can't build a guy as your top face when the crowd doesn't just want him to lose, but doesn't want him on tv at all.
I understand that breh I do but the WWE has told us time and time again that they don't give a fukk whether people cheer or boo Roman Reigns as long as he still gets huge reactions. People are on their feet when Roman comes out to see him win or get his ass kicked.

AJ Styles and Shane deserve a lot of credit for what they did. I haven't been that hype for a match ever.

Can't accept Roman being the one, sorry brehs.

But Taker didn't even get one ounce of offense in in the final 5 minutes or so :hhh:
LOL@a face ending a hailed career like the Undertaker...this is something that a Flair or Lesnar heel is supposed to run with. Not a face:laugh: This is HILARIOUS

More like Michaels/Flair

Exactly. I liked the idea of the match but the execution was lacking. To be fair though, I think AJ and Cena are the only ones that could have a legit good match against Taker in his current state. He couldn't do much in the ring, and the crowd DOES NOT buy into any his signature moves. Since WM 30 fans just don't believe in Taker's nearfalls and are just waiting for the 3rd Tombstone. And after watching 7 hours of live wrestling is even harder to have a crowd engaged.

In retrospect, the match had zero chance of being good or satisfying. The "old legend runs out of gas, gets overwhelmed and retires" story was a good choice, but they just couldn't pull it off.

People aren't tuning in to see Roman lose though. They don't want him as a top face and if he gets force fed to them, they tune out. The same thing happened with cena. Ratings have been dropping for 16 straight years because of booking in this manner of "I don't care what you want, it's about what I want" from :flabbyvince:. I've had no desire to watch the last three wrestlemania events and didn't watch any of them, largely because I just don't care to watch a show where this guy is presented in the manner he is. They blatantly make everyone else look bad to prop him up to an even more extreme length than they did with John cena.

In short this Mania

The highs were really high, but the lows were really low.

Overall the entire weekend talking: HoF ceremony, Takeover, and Mania...B grading

on their own merits...

HoF: B [ran too long]

Takeover: B-

Mania: C

Pretty much cosign though my scores are slightly different.

I thought Takeover was a B+/A- cause that tag match was FIRE and the women's match and NXT title match delivered too.

Mania was a C-. The undercard matches (including the preshow) were so much better than matches starting with HHH/Rollins. It was almost like two different shows. If they could have kept that momentum going into the end of the night, it could have been an A show
