Well not so weird that you assumed this had it as it it is a really basic function on almost any video/streaming service (except Netflix) but YouTube of course and so many other sites and players give the option of selecting playback speed - so this has been out for a while and it doesn´t have it.. Would be something for them to improve for those who have a bad connection to at least pick the best that their network can handle.

Yeah I wonder if them servers are capped at a relatively low speed also.
